With an out and back layout design, it became quite evident that I needed a way to turn my steam locomotives. A wye takes a lot of space, so I settled on a turntable. I made it from composite lumber, some plastic beams and brass rod.
It is 3 feet in diameter and should be able to accomodate most narrow gauge locomotives. I’ve attached it to a platform thta will eventually be the railroad yard. The design is still being developed.
