Figures

There are not a lot of commercial figures available in 1:20 and they’re certainly not inexpensive.

I decided to make my own.

I used a framework built from aluminum foil and then used Sculpey for the form.

The Sculpey can be baked over and over again, so as I completed a layer, I would bake it to preserve the detail or set the shape.

My first figure...not too bad.

For my second figure, I got a bit more creative in the pose. I was still have some trouble getting the proportions correctly, but he looks decent from the normal viewing distance.

I posed my latest figures with a 1:18 scale model in front of Smith Pond Mill.
They look right at home.

Next, I built a small scene for the front of my barbershop. Two men talking while a lady walks by.
